thanks everybody. Lois - lol nice try. i've my packing to do later - can't do it this pm cos Linda here for horse stuff...i am really tired cos for some reason i just kept waking and having weird dreams last night - i thought tonight with having to get up at two thirty would be the tough one but last night was just one of those constant stupid but real seeming fragmented dream nights. just worry i guess - stupid me worrying about a holiday! checked my camera - all ready and i'll bore you all to death with stories and pics next week. well done annette - that is such good news after all your hard work, and now you're in well deep. best way to learn though - get straight in, you find out quickly what you need to know. i remember my first drive after passing my test age 30 and 4 days.. i wanted to do it before i was 30 but failed 3 times - rickety old car - cost 50 quid - went to see mum a couple of miles away, on the way back it rained and i could not find the wipers - drove with my head out the window ...then when i got home i pulled on the handbrake and it came off in my hand kids now never have to drive rust buckets like that do they - good thing really but now they seem to want very new cars not something old but serviceable. same with homes - they want all new where we had stuff from secondhand shop. I used to love browsing there. |

For those who have seen my latest Facebook status, here's how drunk I was...... and this is why I will be slinking into work on Tues.
It was our Gynae Consultant's retirement party, I've worked with him for 15 years and though he's a bit of a rogue, he's always been very polite and almost formal with me.
Right at the end, Mike came to pick me up, phoned me from right outside and then said he could see me through the window. I waved at him, whereupon said consultant thought it would be funny to grab me in a big hug and kiss me, knowing Mike was watching.
Being a teeny weeny bit tipsy I thought it would be even funnier to go one stage further, so I spun him round so I had my back to the window and shouted "grab my @rse".... three times....... loudly. Being a gentleman he wouldn't at first, until I grabbed his.
Mike was the only person who didn't see anything as he'd turned to talk to Melissa as soon as I'd waved at him.
I checked the day after...... nobody else in the room missed a thing. |

oh Annette- embarrassing for you - funny for the rest of us tho . Should be a real fun morning on Tuesday - what you doing for a follow up! strange how the body and mouth overrides the brain when we've had just that little too much. and how the volume control on our voice gets lost |

The consultant in question has retired but he is coming back a couple of times a month so maybe he'll have forgotten in a few weeks..... do you think???
I reckon the way to play it will be to pretend I'm always like that, they just don't know me that well at work.

dohh.. planted out lots of dif tomatoes, chillies and cucumber on sat, on mon i noticed all labels were empty - burke i thought - you've forgotten to write on them. so when i set loads of annuals in trays i made REALLY SURE i wrote on labels. watered them after finished and went off. hmnn linda came to play horses then we wandered into polytunnel where i proudly showed off my work " what have you sown" she said - looking at labels - its on there ...oh no.. its not! i have used non waterproof pen :( stuffed. most of the flowers i'll recognize but whicj toms will be ones needing pinching out and which will be ones that i wanted to plant in hamging baskets - the cherry ones i won't have a clue. why does life whack you like that sometimes. I hate writing the labels anyway - to find that it was a time watse is annoying. lovely sunny day today - good - because sarah will be here along with her tow boys, and tan rung to say she's coming with daz and beth and bringing chris and his two. Soo its tesco family meals ( prob lasagne and a chicken pasta bake) out of the freezer, with frozen veg and big bowl of fruit salad. |
