Unfortunately our hosting supplier had a database down Tuesday which caused the forum to go kaput. To make it even worse I found that when Snitz cannot find its application variables it thinks everyone is Jay and allows them to post as me!
I've reinitialized Snitz to get it back up and running, removed a number of new accounts created today that are spammers and removed all the spam posts in my name. Unfortunately I got a bit enthusiastic and removed the entire funnies topic rather than just the last post. Not feeling too good and wanted to finish quickly, there is a lesson there for me I think. I did schedule a backup of the database this afternoon but as yet I doesn't seem to have completed so I don't know if I can restore the funnies or not. If I can you should see it appear soonish.
Also I suspect I will be moving hosts soon and potentially changing forum software as I'm a little concerned with what happened allowing anyone to post. Not good security practise, whoever did that bit of code should go work for HMRC.
